RankChecker results vary based on location?

    I'm working on the site in my signature, and RankChecker is telling me that it's moved up to #2 for Boston Wedding Bands on Yahoo. On the east coast however, (I'm in CA) it's on the second page. Is this common? Thanks.

    Yes, it varies on the location of the server of the RankChecker site. So it may vary but not very much just few positions or something

    Dang, kinda hard to do SEO for a site across the country then. I don't suppose there's any way to check how it appears in another location is there?

    I just tried a couple free web based proxy sites and got different results, does anyone know if there are ways to view from a proxy from say, Boston?

    Yes very common, I run a business and I get different results from my home address which is 10 minutes walk from my office.
