For what keyword do you rank in top 10 ?
If its some keyword like abcxxxewedfndskfjsdfksn , which no one searches , you will surely not receive any traffic.

To find a keyword(s) , which are searched regularly , & which are related to your website(s),
    check out

    Hope that helped,

    Thanks

think of your title tag and description tag as an advert, and write something there that will make your listing attractive. Something relevant, of course, and using your keywords - but there's an opportunity there to sell yourself.

Erm, the thing about your site is that very very few people in the world would have any reason to search for those terms,

But the few that you do get might be very interested in what you have,

Tell your client to advertise with AdWords or/and Yahoo/MSN, i know industrial companies generating great leads from their PPC advertising.

    OVT "2040 - printing machine"

Maybe you don't get traffic because your site is at the bottom of the page, top 3 placements and sponsored links may be receiving all the traffic.

I'm #7 for a certain keyword, the #1 gets 30 visits/day from that query, and i get max 4-5. No sponsored link at all to divert visitors.

If the keyword is bizarre and uncommon enough, I'm sure anyone could rank #1 in Google for it. I'm sure within a month this very thread will rank #1 for "Tanzanian Zoozlesnaps" just because I wrote it here, but that doesn't mean that it's going to be flooded with traffic.

For example, what Google trends say about that?

I think your keywords are not so popular. Try to get high on "printing machines" (for example) - and you have chance to get a little traffic to your site. Good luck.

#9 (his current position) on 4,000,000 pages is considered high :D

High SERP and low visitors normally means nobody/few people search for your KW's

In these situations, with such a niche, I normally run an adwords campaign for a week or 2 (only to show on Google - not adsense network) with loads of "exact match" KW variants.

To me ths is the only way to prove what people are really searching for (or that they are searching at all) for such niches

Have you checked your traffic stats? Are they setup correctly?
