Rank #4 for my keyword but...

I rank 4th for a keyword that Google says had 150,000 searches last month yet I only get a small small fraction....

what can I do to improve this?

 

small fraction of click? does your keyword searched by lots of people? if not that is probably why no traffics coming in and nothing need to be fix. Just a hint.

Try estimated traffic for that particular keyword in Google Adwords tools or Google Trends to get some estimate.

 

I think you misread, i did get estimated traffic

Google says it is 150,000 searches a month.

 

How many hits on that kw are you getting per month?? 1k?

 

only 600 hits a month

 

Maybe there is some truth in "the majority of people click on the first 3 search results.." ?

You would still expect at least 1% in the 4th position.. (which would be 1500 hits)
