    Seems like yahoo's search engine itself looking for traffic, how can they send traffic to your sites.
    But yeah its really tough to dominate in google serps.

    I love to have my page in yahoo that google. Yahoo doesn't change their logic very often as google does. If you get 1st page on yahoo, it will be there longer (more traffic)

    Sometimes i wonder how yahoo rank pages.. But yeah, it happens, although you have a higher rank on google, you might have lower rank in yahoo.. Different algorithms that really puzzle webmasters.. Now, bing is also in action..

    submit to some directories
    submit your site to the yahoo directory, it will cost you a lot of money, we're talking hundreds, but at least you will have a very very high pagerank backlink, and it will be there for a year, you will see your rank in google rocket up

    thanks for all the feedback guys, I really never knew most of this. It has only been about 2 and a half weeks since my site was first published, so im thinking i should give it some more time for my google rank lol.

    @CODForum: does that yahoo directory really have a big affect on pr - i think i would be willing to invest.

    Agree with this, my sulumits retsambew blog is on the top of Yahoo SERP, but it's only 8th position on google.

    I have the same issue.
    First page in Yahoo and Bing but 3rd in Google. (home page)
    But most traffic came from Google.

    My rankings in google have actually gone down since when my site was first published 3 weeks ago. im sure im doing all the right things, theres no reason it should be going down. is it just random? will it pick up over the course of a few months?
