i have read it is not wise to have a domain like dogs2 dot com (just general example)

i am struggling to find a domain name and am leaning towards this option.

should i have something like ilikedogs or allaboutdogs dot com.

I kind of think domainname2 dot com looks spammy but I know that it is all about content and seo. any help would be Greatly appreciated as I have domains in my godaddy cart pending. lol

Although I don't think Google is going to care if you have a digit in there, it will be harder for people to remember. I would use AllAboutDogs before I used Dogs2 if it were me. Digits won't kill you in the SERPS, but they can kill you in return traffic.
