There is a plethora of web-based password generators, too. http://strongpasswordgenerator.com/ for instance. Google for 'password generator' to find the rest.
If this is just a password generator for websites etc, then use "Lastpass" ... it also saves passwords in encrypted format ... you only have to remember one password and it can fill in the rest for you. There are plenty others. Note: Doesn't work very well with old school password prompts that you get from Apache ... ex: when you try and access your Web stats for example ... but apart from that, it's quite handy.
Mil shield does a great work for me. Generates random passwords for Digg, Twitter, FaceBook and etc. according to their rules for passwords.
