Random Adsense surges

I have noticed this happen twice so far. I normally get around 30 to 50 impressions per day and make between $0.50 and $5 per day. However, 2 weekends ago, I had a random surge and got 124 impressions and made close to $9 and even got some clickbank sales out of that traffic. I was wondering...does anyone have an explanation as to why I get this adsense surge and why does it just go away after a day or so? Any help would be appreciated, as I would love to make the surge permanent...:D

Also, while I'm at it, I might as well ask this too. I posted some ezine articles a while back and I wanted to know if Google would shun me for copying them from my ezine account and pasting them onto a new blog. They are all original articles, created by me. I don't want google to think I'm stealing...

Do you have Google Analytics or Statcounter installed? This would at least tell you where the traffic is coming from. Most likely, this is due to some other popular site linking to you - a blog or something. (I've had that happen a few times before - it's always such a nice thing! :D)

Yes, I do have Google analytics...the funny thing is that the traffic surge isn't really noticable on there. In fact, the traffic stats for those days are less than for regular days..... So I am at a loss as to what causes this thing.

In Analytics on that day, what does your unique user to page views ratio look like, in comparison to a normal day? It is possible you are a victim of click fraud. :(

Im still confused... For Sat, Sept. 13, I had 57 page views and 20 uniques.

On a random day, Mon. Sept. 22, I had 33 page views and 23 uniques.

So I guess, someone could have gone click happy, but I wonder why it would happen 2 or 3 days in a row, and generate numerous clickbank sales.
