Hi guys, On my new website, I'm trying a new technique to attempt to overcome user ad blindness when they are reading articles. I'm using a bit of PHP to randomise where the Google Ads block goes in the article every time the page is loaded. At the moment, I've only got it implemented in a simple way on one page on the site: http://www.perioddramas.com/article.php?id=1 Try accessing that page a few times to see the main ad block appear randomly on either the left or the right of the page. The idea is that, when I have lots of articles on the site, the ads will appear on a different side in each one, thus preventing ad blindness when people read several of the articles in one session. Unfortunately, the site is very new, and we are getting almost no visitors at the moment. Furthermore, we only have one article up on there right now! In any case, I'd be very pleased to hear what anyone thinks of the concept. Many thanks for any comments.
Sounds good with the concept. But anyway, as what you've mentioned you can only see the results once there are traffic coming in. Do update and let us know whether using random ads location appearance does make any difference at all.
I have always wanted to try this, changing colors randomly seems to do wonders so changing position should be similar if not better. Let us know how it goes.
