    Hi All,
I've been reading alot on DP and participating some. Good info here. I've implemented alot of traffic gaining methods I've learned here. Most worked, some didn't. My site went from 5-10 unique visits a day to 150-170 unique hits a day. My adsense earnings so far is a mere .98 cents, but I am working on that. Please review my blog and let me know what you think. Thanks!

    Cheers,
    K.

P.S. my blog link is in my sig.

I think the ad unit doesn't fit your site smoothly. You should change the size of them to fit well. Just my opinion.

any suggestions on what size ads I should be using and where I should be placing them?

    image, text, or link ads?

Personally, I like the way it is, but my opinion doesn't count because of course it's going to be biased one. I would love to hear your 2 cents.

I am newbie so have some confusions with unique visits and hits. On the other hand there is some confusion with the name, what it means actually.

Mate, I would stay away from adsense and focus on affiliate marketing. Goes with your theme and will bring through greater returns. Hope you do well.

Ramen Days is a saying that means you're going thru a broke phase. Usually at work you see people eating Ramen noodles when they are broke cause they can't afford to eat anything else. Ramen Days can also mean stressful, bad, embarassing or humiliating times. The average man/woman can relate to the concept of a Ramen Day. We all go thru it. It goes hand in hand with escaping the day job because we all want to escape those Ramen Days at work or atleast get thru them. So I post topics related on that. Not all of my entries are related to the concept, but I am a Ramen Day veteran so I write on topics of choice at times.

@Sohni, sorry for the confusing words. Hits and visits are the same.

@ Zero Cool, I am very green to this internet marketing stuff. Can you please elaborate on the concept of affiliate marketing? You don't have to go into detail. A nice two sentence description would be nice. As you see I am also running Kontera on my site. Would that be considered affliate marketing? If it's no trouble, could you lead me to some reliable affiliate marketing companies.

So if adsense isn't affiliate marketing then what is it considered as? I'm trying to get this internet marketing lingo down so that would help me.

    Thanks!

Also, my adsense 468 X 60 are changing sizes by themselves. If you want to see an example of this then take a look at the post "this is the degree all in moment". Their is a 468 X 60 banner ad at the end of the post. This banner ad displays fine. Now take a look at the post "office survival tip #3-delegate your work to the temp". Again, look at the end of the post. This time you will see an ugly skyscraper looking ad that doesn't even say "ads by google" around it. The code for this ad is a 468 X 60 adsense code, but when I paste the code it automatically turns it into this ad I don't want to display. I am not changing the code in any way.

Anybody care to take a stab at this one?

@silvers, thanks for the advice. I actually see what you're saying about the link unit. I turned the link unit white and am awaiting for the ads to appear. I also changed my right sidebar to the 200 x 200 unit. It actually looks much better than the long skyscraper ad cause it took up a lot of space.
