Ah yes, ketoacidosis - the bane of my existence. Lol. Luckily when I get it my breath doesn't stink because I keep hydrated (as much as you can with KA) but I do get a very chemically smell similar to nail polish remover on my breath, which as Will pointed out is the acetone.

The smell on Muslims breath during ramadan seems to be something far nastier; it's acetone, yes, but it's something far worse too. I'd go so far as to say it smells rather a lot like dead human flesh.

Even if you brush your teeth, for as long as you have KA you WILL stink, Vebtools, unless you actually keep hydrated - which means a LOT of drinking, constantly, until it passes.

Admittedly KA is a great way to lose weight, but it's also a great way to kill off your vital organs. (I believe they are all effected by it, from heart to liver to kidneys.)

I feel worst for children who feel as though they must partake to be "good" muslims. Dying from KA is slow, painful and could be compared to dying from an overdose of something like Zoloft.

Yeah, because water is bad... Do you have any idea of how loony you sound?

Brushing your teeth and using mouthwash don't have any positive effect on the results of the bodies production of ammonia. Drinking large amounts of water can flush it out in the urine. But, if you don't eat or drink your body becomes a nasty little poison factory.

Are you saying you believe that it is healthy for a school aged child, let's say, a 12 year old boy - let's say he wants to/feels pressured to take part in fasting - are you saying that it is healthy for him to not consume any food or drink during the daylight hours?

If yes, do you claim that keto acidosis has some benefit to a growing body?

I told you in my very first post that people who has no knowledge about Ramadan are talking about it in this thread...

Sick, the weak, the kids who has no ability to fast, the old, the pregnant ladies, the ladies during their mantrual days and people who are travelling and so on are not allowed to fast. If they do then this their own wish. Othewise Islam can't be blamed for this.

Alright then, let me use a different example.

A healthy adult fasts. He develops KA. He also stinks like hell because of said KA as well as the lack of fluids. His breath is then bad, even if he'd brushed his teeth, because he has been without fluids all day long. His sweat is also far more putrid because of the KA.

Would you say this is a good thing that would please your god?

What about when the KA damages his kidneys? Will your god give him a new one for being a good muslim? Or will dialysis be good enough?

    What is KA?

and how many time i have to write that fasting is exempt for those who can not fast due to health problem or any other thing.. those who can not fast or who break the fast due to some problem (like cannot fast complete day due to hot weather etc) has to give food to poor people.

Ketoacidosis -- you would know that if you would read before responding.

Which is completely contradicted by the facts of increased birth defects due to children carried during Ramadan. Your propaganda doesn't trump reality.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to believe that you do not drink.

Ahh... that could explain why your brain does not seem to be working.

Have you ever been tested for diabetes? Blood sugar problems can resemble alcoholic stupor.

not a muslim though but then everyday we allhave a fast.. that's way we all call a meal "BREAKFAST" to break the fast.

having a fast from time to time helps the health of one. even jesus did it once and its mentioned in the bible.
