Ramadan - Punishment for Muslims. Not Drinking Water during the day - Terrible for your health!

9 Great Reasons to Drink Water, and How to Form the Water Habit

    Weight loss
Water is one of the best tools for weight loss, first of all because it often replaces high-calorie drinks like soda and juice and alcohol with a drink that doesn't have any calories. But it's also a great appetite suppressant, and often when we think we're hungry, we're actually just thirsty. Water has no fat, no calories, no carbs, no sugar. Drink plenty to help your weight-loss regimen.

    Heart healthy
Drinking a good amount of water could lower your risks of a heart attack. A six-year study published in the May 1, 2002 American Journal of Epidemiology found that those who drink more than 5 glasses of water a day were 41% less likely to die from a heart attack during the study period than those who drank less than two glasses.

    Energy
Being dehydrated can sap your energy and make you feel tired -- even mild dehydration of as little as 1 or 2 percent of your body weight. If you're thirsty, you're already dehydrated -- and this can lead to fatigue, muscle weakness, dizziness and other symptoms.

    Headache cure
Another symptom of dehydration is headaches. In fact, often when we have headaches it's simply a matter of not drinking enough water. There are lots of other causes of headaches of course, but dehydration is a common one.

    Healthy skin
Drinking water can clear up your skin and people often report a healthy glow after drinking water. It won't happen overnight, of course, but just a week of drinking a healthy amount of water can have good effects on your skin.

    Digestive problems
Our digestive systems need a good amount of water to digest food properly. Often water can help cure stomach acid problems, and water along with fiber can cure constipation (often a result of dehydration).

    Cleansing
Water is used by the body to help flush out toxins and waste products from the body.

    Cancer risk
Related to the digestive system item above, drinking a healthy amount of water has also been found to reduce the risk of colon cancer by 45%. Drinking lots of water can also reduce the risk of bladder cancer by 50% and potentially reduce the risk of breast cancer.

    Better exercise
Being dehydrated can severely hamper your athletic activities, slowing you down and making it harder to lift weights. Exercise requires additional water, so be sure to hydrate before, during and after exercise.
How to form the water habit
So you're convinced that water is healthier, but you'd like to know more about how to make drinking water a daily habit.

Here are some tips that have helped me:

    How much water?
This is a debatable question. What's clear is that the old recommendation of "eight 8-ounce glasses a day" isn't right, for several reasons: that amount includes all dietary water intake, including food and non-water beverages; it also ignores a person's body weight, which is an important factor in figuring the amount; it also varies if you are sick or exercise. It's also not good to just drink when you're thirsty -- you're already dehydrated by then. Best is to form a routine: drink a glass when you wake up, a glass with each meal, a glass in between meals, and be sure to drink before, during and after exercise. Try to generally keep yourself from getting thirsty.

    Carry a bottle
A lot of people find it useful to get a big plastic drinking bottle, fill it with water, and carry it around with them all day. I like to keep a glass of water at my desk, and I drink from it all day long. When it's empty, I fill it up again, and keep drinking.

If you deny your body water the toxins stay in your body aaaaall day looooong! How is that commandment from God, it just does not make sense.

This applies to everyone who is either fasting or starving. It is ridiculous IMO to connect the issue to Ramadan alone.

Ramadhan is almost over and no Muslim is dying from the fast. Yet another Islamophobic post as usual.

People who are fasting typically do drink water; if we're talking about standard non-insane religion related fasting, anyway. The only time anyone here would go without food and water is immediately prior to surgery, and even then, one is permitted to suck on a few ice chips and is often given fluids intravenously so they don't become dehydrated.

Also, people who don't eat or drink anything for Ramadan have atrocious breath; I wish they'd allow themselves a little mouth wash or the like.

Blahaahahaaa... what a ridiculous claim. No one died from the Ramadan fast -- not even one. Prove it. Go ahead and show us that there were zero deaths during the Ramadan self-torture ritual.

I am not too worried, of course. Fasting normally kills the sick, the weak, and the old. I am more concerned because Ramadan has been proven statistically to cause a significant rise in the number of children born with birth defects. Combined with the number of Muslims who are inbreeding, this is slowly and steadily creating a world full of IQ-deficient people -- exactly the kind of people who are perfect subjects for Islam.

For your kind information sick, the weak, the old, the pregnant ladies, the ladies during their mantrual days and people who are travelling are not allowed to fast. If they do then this their own wish. Othewise Islam can't be blamed for this.

They do this to be "good" Muslims.

    Here's a quote from Parent24:
What is happening is that these women are trying to show submission to Islam, and their babies are being born retarded. The women "feel" healthy enough, but they are starving their unborn babies. The effects are worst during the first trimester -- including the time when the woman many not even be aware that she is pregnant.

The end result is that some Islamic babies face much higher rates of birth defects due to Ramadan.

Ramadan and Islam? These guys have no knowledge of christianity or their respective religion. They just know how to speak. They are very much fond of speaking and posting on forums to show how intelligent they are and that they can speak on every topic.

It's bad thinking like that which is causing these birth defects! Muslims think they know, but the birth defect statistics prove that they don't know. The birth defect rates are higher even among American Muslims -- Muslims who should definitely know better.

But... they place religious observance above the health of their unborn children.

I am not so enamored of the idea of child abuse. I also have an interest in humanity as a whole and I don't like how it is being dumbed down by birth defects caused by fasting and inbreeding. I'd like for evolution to keep making humans smarter and you people are screwing it up.

People who are not following any religion are talking about religion knowledge.. lolzzz

any ways. Fasting is compulsory in Ramadan but its not for all.

If you really have interest in humanity then you must stop people around you who are going to burning Quran after 3 days, coz they are going to hurt billions of humanity around the world.

Let show us how smart you are

Islamic intolerance knows no bounds! Threatened with two years imprisonment for eating!

If your mind was sharper, it wouldn't take you a day. :p

I never thought of birth defects as a benefit. I guess that the Ethiopians should be super-healthy.

Who knows more about cancer, the patient with cancer or the doctor treating him? You have a cancer known as Islam, that doesn't give you any miraculous knowledge about how to treat your condition.

Oh hell no! Help humanity by burning every Quran in you can legally and morally obtain!

Can you imagine how much better the world would be if the (approximately) 1 billion followers of Muhammad suddenly awoke and decided to live their lives in freedom?

True. I happened to be close to one muslim who was fasting and boy, .... his breath was the smell of death. A proof the toxic elements stay in the body instead of being washed out with water.

The smell is a side effect of ketosis or even ketoacidosis. The ketone bodies decarboxylate into acetone and that acetone is excreted in the breath.

Islam urges its followers to be clean, decent, and pleasant in their appearance and smell. In this respect, you can have a mouth wash and gargle it but be careful not to allow the water goes into your stomach as best as you can. During the Holy Prophet's lifetime, he (pbuh) and his Companions (Sahabah) used to have Siwak (Miswak or Tooth stick) to keep their mouth fresh and clean.

Many people avoid brushing their teeth during the day in Ramadhan. This is a mistake, since there is no contradiction between observing the fast during Ramadhan and brushing one's teeth. Moreover, Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: "Were it not for the hardship that I would be placing upon my people, I would have ordered them to engage in Siwak for every prayer." [Sahih al-Bukhari (887) and Sahih Muslim (252)]

we should keep our mouth and body clean and free of any bad or horrible smell, especially when you are working with a non-Muslim who may accuse Islam or insult Muslims because of Ramadhan fasting. Allah says: "Keep you duty to Allah (SWT) as far as you can." (Holy Quran, 64:16)
