I think Ramadan is a holiday that should be inclusive of everyone. As a Muslim, this is especially true for me. I've written a free e-book that allows Muslims and Non-Muslims alike to celebrate Ramadan together. What do you think? ~Vago http://www.vagobond.com/2010/08/ramadan-for-all-faiths-2010-free-ebook/ Please discuss!
celebrating a festival of any religion is always welcomed, but the rules to follow up are pretty hard and demanding. If house members are ill you have to go outside to have food but this festive custom rules that option out, a festive has to be feasible for all - one can't make exceptions in them
Why would all people be responsible to celebrate a religion based holiday. That makes absolutely NO sense at all. Hey, I'm going to start my own religion. Here's is the deal if you eat 10 oranges on August 7th you go to "cloudland"(our version of heaven). Would it be fair to think that ALL people should celebrate my holiday too? Why arn't you eating the 10 oranges TODAY. You don't believe in cloudland!!
Let me guess: you don't think that Christmas or Chanukah is a holiday that should be inclusive of everyone.
Let's do this. Start Celebrating: Christmas Easter Chanukah Diwali Buddha's Birthday Then, we start considering celebrating Ramadan. Deal? I think you're knocking the wrong door by asking people to celebrate a festival which makes them endure fasting. You should rather be focusing on engaging in constructive dialog.
I celebrate nadamar, I eat more, pray twice as much less (which is still not at all as 2x0=0) and over indulge in sex.
according to our law nobody permitted to drink water (and other liquids) eat and smoke outside of his/her house from sunrise to sunset.
Ramadan is just for Muslim. no one can celebrate it other than Muslims. In this month one keeps fast whole day & worship , Thats it.
So on what grounds are you able to tell other people what to do? What should happen if a non-muslim eats a bacon sandwich in eyeshot of a muslim?
lol. That is why they don't leave their houses, they wouldn't be able to bear seeing non-muslims enjoying their food.
No I don't agree with you, sorry. Ramadhaan is a holy month and not on par with the other so-called "festivals" you listed on your page. Plus this smacks of the religious pluralism ideology which the Liberal Islam folk in Indonesia are propagating.
