Here are some tough statements from Ram Shriram, one of the early investors and a board member in Google. He says Google is not getting enough people for its development centre in Bangalore. “I know first hand that we’ve had a bit more of a challenge trying to hire engineers for Google in Bangalore compared to other parts of the world,” Shriram told a private investment conference in San Francisco.
He says there are not many people with “knowledge of Javascript and Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML), the Web design technology used in the latest generation of Web sites like Google Maps and Flickr”. Besides, he said there are good founding teams, but middle managers also are in short-supply. His another grouse is that Indians are not great in website designs. “User-interface people are in short supply in India.”
I am sure many of you will not agree.
