I have a problem... I acquired a new RAM stick (1GB PQI), I plugged it in, also replugged it in different slots and CPU-Z detects it, Windows not. What can I do?

What if you remove all other RAM and only use the new stick?

If you've already got 4GB, and you add another 1GB, XP etc can't see anything over 4GB.

yeah, how much RAM do you already have? If you're running a 32-bit operating system it can't see more than 4 gigs...so maybe you need to install a 64-bit operating system.
