Rajeev Bedi - Oncologist Cancer joins DP Forums

Hello friends, I am Dr Rajeev Bedi. Though, I am a doctor, but I am fascinated by modern technologies. I hope to join to join you in some technical discussions too...

Here is my brief profile:

Dr Rajeev Bedi is sr. consultant & Head of the Department of Medical Oncology (Cancer Specialist), Fortis Hospital (Fortis HealthCare) Mohali, Delwyn Hospital and Mukat Hospitals at Chandigarh.


With more than 15 years of experience, Dr Rajiv Bedi is an authority on Cancer, he has done DM in Medical Oncology from AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), New Delhi. He has undergone fellowship in Hematology in Royal Marsden Hospital at London.


One of his most prestigious achievements, Dr Rajeev Bedi (Gold Medalist) is the recipient of prestigious Geeta Mittal Award for best cancer researcher of the year 2002 from Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, the then President of India.
Dr Rajiv Bedi’s fields of specialization are Lung Cancer, Breast Cancer, Gynecological cancers and Gastro-Intestinal Cancer. Over the last decade or so, he has been actively involved in global cancer research programmes and had been a Principal Investigator for many international and national trials in head & neck, lung and GI cancers.


Dr Bedi has the publication of innumerable papers in reputed journals to his credit and has himself presented several papers in national and international conferences.


Dr Bedi is actively involved in social service and public awareness programs through various media like FM Radio, Doordarshan and print media (Times of India, The Tribune, Hindustan Times and Indian Express) for creating the awareness about cancer at various levels and fora in the society. He holds regular camps and public awareness lectures in collaboration with various social organizations. Despite his busy and tight schedules, Dr Rajeev Bedi loves to be involved in activities like puppet shows, awareness-marches and student-awareness campaigns for different types of cancer.
