If I raise the PR of the main page, will the sub pages move up in rank on the search results?

It seems that there are two issues brought up by your post:

    1) If you construct your website's internal linking advantageously, you can channel PR to the inner pages of your choosing.

    2) Whether higher PR on those same inner pages will translate to higher ranking in the search results has been debated to death on this and other forums. DP members have widely-varying, strongly-held opinions on that controversial topic. I can't resolve it.

I think to some extent the PR of inner pages will move up provided you effectively link them with the home page :D

It's a good idea to get deep links directly to your inner pages from other sites.

If the raise of the PR affects your homepages ranking positive, then it will likely have less but still positive affect on your inner pages.
