    Hey all,

I have a Radeon 9250 card that I haven't installed yet, and I'm trying to run a game to see how good the computer is :p (Chronicles of Narnia) that is compatible with Vertex Shader v1.1 AND Pixel Shader v1.1 Support...

First of all, does anyone know if this is compatible with these?
Secondly, is the card Geforce 3+ equivalent?

Also, I have a Intel GMA 900 on my laptop but it doesn't seem to be running it since it says it wants Pixel Shader v1.1... the site says it's compatible.. what do you think?

    Thanks
    Jay

    well;
this depend an your radeon 9250 , there 2 version one with 64 bit (memory system bus) the other one is with 128 bit.
if u have the 128bit version than this card is as fast as 4200ti (geforce 4 titanium) , else (64 bit) this should be about geforce 3.
the Intel GMA should support pixel shader 1.1 may be you must try different driver.
if u can post full notebook detail + video card frequency ,memory volume etc may be we can do something

    Alright. Thanks.

My laptop is an IBM R52 with a Celeron M at 1.4 GHz, 256MB DDR2 (512MB DDR2 533 (1x512) Single-Channel CL4), and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 128MB Dynamically Shared Video Memory, all that stuff.

My PC has a Celeron at 2.8GHz, 512MB DDR, and the Radeon card..

I also have something else that displays the same error:
It's got a Centrino Duo and 512MB DDR2, and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950..

    Thanks
    Jay

"and I'm trying to run a game to see how good the computer is"
sorry to say this, but this computer is pure crap ( forget to add in my last post ). go with something better if possible.
i have downloaded the game demo deom game
placed in computer with 512 memory athlon 2500+ (barton) ,with 9250 64/128 bit version the game run no problem, with geforce 3 also it work correctly , with GMA(Intel) in my old laptop it also work.
most likely u have driver issue . try to update your directx version and your display driver
    hope this help

Alright, I've updated my display driver but it doesn't work yet.. I'm going to try DirectX now? Is DirectX 10 what I need?

    Thanks
