Well I had been running a couple proxy sites which kicked off nicely, so I decided to get a vps. I searched around and came across rackforce.com Before I paid I asked them if proxy sites or proxy related sites were allowed. They said "YES". So I went ahead and paid got everything set up 3 days after I paid (never received my info). The other day I check the ticket system and there threatening me that if I don't take down my proxy sites my account will be shut down! Like WTF! they are refusing to refund me so I've went ahead and made a paypal claim. and as always paypal did F*** nothing! even with my proof. What a great 5days of hosting I had For those ever in the market of a dedicated or vps server I highly recommend you to NOT go with rackforce.com There misleading, have horrible support and are a down right terrible company. After this little scenario I've decided to sell my little network here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=431411
Is it not possible that proxies are allowed, but that your proxies were guilty of sending spam or an attack or something else that breaks their TOS other than the proxy itself? If that's the case, then it's pretty common place acrossed the board. A few are better than others, proxies however are hard to host even with a dedicated server as shit happens.
Ah but heres the twist, my proxies hadn't yet been set up to work. Therefore were not functional and couldn't have been used to send spam or used for any illegal activities.
That would be a dream! But all I can really do is to simply let people know of my bad experience with this company. Unless... *evil grin*
