A friend of mine just got audited for the first time in his life. After a 3 hour interview with a fresh out of college 24 year old punk kid, it was determined there were no problems with the filing, so the agent decided to disallow his well documented charitable deductions to the good will, despite the fact that every rule had been followed to the letter, and all the appropriate documents were in place. It generated a $1850(tax+fines+fees) surcharge on his tax bill to pay for the audit. In Russia, thats what they call a shake down. I know anecdotally of two other similar stories that played out exactly the same way. Obama figures, government cant pay its bills? Send out the goon squad. I actually appreciate the activity, because it furthers a cause. if you think voters were angry in 2010, you haven't seen anything yet. 2012 may not be the end of the world, but it is going to feel like it for a large number of our elected officials and the parasites that have been feeding off of them.
I believe every word of it, the horror stories are endless.......stop blaming people who have nothing to do with it. ........ The next election will be a barn burner and looking forwards to it. The Republicans fell short in the Senate to match their gains in the house and shows less an overall mandate from the public than frustration. A perfect storm the Democrats survived. The Democrats successes in the last two years are written into law. In this country Defense rules the day, legislature and with gridlock the new Rep. advantage in the house should be mitigated in the Senate making any changes problematic at best for the time being.....
