I am actually about to post something like this.
To me the answer is NO.

Yahoo slurp crawls one of my sites many many times every day while Googlebot only crawls very few times in one day, sometimes Googlebot even don't crawl at all within 1 - 2 days. Yet, the visitors from Yahoo is poor. If I have around 1000 visitors from those search engines, 999 would be from Google and ONLY 1 from Yahoo. And this does happen to my site.

My answer is also NOT for yahoo, Most of my traffic is coming from Google and only few visitors from other search engines.

Yahoo only accounts for about 4% of my overall Search engine traffic. Even AOL does a better job of sending traffic... (not by much though). Google is King at over 90%.

I have an exception to the rule, it's a fairly low traffic site.

Considering Googlebot had more pages indexed for me with higher rankings on keywords, I don't get quite as good of traffic as Yahoo. And by quite, I mean not nearly as much.

In general Yahoo doesn't index my sites as good as google does. I have a blog that has every page indexed in google (250 pages), only has 50 indexed pages in Yahoo. I added a sitemap to Yahoo webmaster tools but to no avail. I have a couple of videosites that have thousands of pages indexed in google but almost none in Yahoo. Traffic i get from Yahoo is only a couple of percent of my total traffic.

As a whole across all this site i own, maybe about 10%-20% comes from yahoo and the rest from big G, i did have a lyrics site that when first established was getting the majority of traffic from Yahoo, but as soon as it started ranking well in Google it quickly overtook the Yahoo traffic.

Yahoo seems to like static pages and dislikes dynamic content.

On my sites with static pages, Yahoo delivers some traffic. On my sites with dynamic content, Yahoo's bot just eats up my bandwidth by indexing pages that it never lists.

I agree, Yahoo doesn't seem to send much traffic. I get more hits via myspace profiles and Craigslist Posts than Yahoo LOL

Yahoo brings only %2-3 traffic of my websites. It's too low.

That is why Yahoo is dying, not many people using them to search any more.

Wonder why they just dont sell it to Microsoft and get better.
