Seems no one has posted this one yet. Oh well, I've got some time to kill.

I'd bet that pastor simply did that just for the lulz. Religious people - sometimes you just can't tell if they're simply trolling or just plain stupid.

The people that placed a crucifix in urine for the sake of art - were they religious people? Were they simply trolling, or just plain stupid?

Looks like people in Afghanistan retaliated, and killed 12 people because of it.

    http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/04/01/afghanistan.un.attack/index.html?hpt=T1

I guess he should retaliate in burning more Quran's.

Islam making people go nuts since 600 AD . What he did was stupid in a way but 100% legal and no one can take away his right to burn a dam book . What the afghans did was predictable they are decades behind when it comes to civilization and Al-Queda and the talibans aren't making thing any easier . Nor the fact that Pakistan shelters them and gives them supplies .

What's unacceptable over here is that the UN takes some of the most cretinous soldiers in the world in it's army . It is unacceptable for a military guarded base in Afghanistan to have 12 casualties due to an angry mob . What did they forgot their trigger fingers back in Nepal ?

Terry Jones and his group are serial morons with bad attitudes and IQs rivaled only by gerbils. The only people on the planet stupider are those that'd kill multiple people that had nothing to do with it just because some semi-literate inbred butthead on the opposite side of the planet burned a copy of your favorite book.

Optimum solution... gather all involved on both sides and lock them together in a room until only one was left alive.

Then brick over the entrance to the door.

Memorizing the Holy Quran was the best solution told to Muslims 1400 year ago. Every year thousands of Muslims memorized the Holy Quran by heart, they need to burn our hearts first if they want to finish the Holy Quran from the world.

It creates an excuse for pissed off feelings... but every man is responsible for how he responds to those. Both sides in the OPs topic were moronic assholes... but one side was murderous moronic assholes. There's no excuse for killing people that insult a religion in the first place... it's like pulling a gun cause somebody calls you ugly names. Additionally, besides being inexcusably stupid, theres no logic in using a mere insult as an excuse to murder someone that had no connection whatsoever to do with the insult. The guys that murdered the embassy employees are at the very bottom of the human gene pool.

That Quran burning ceremony was very dumb thing. Not that a mere piece of carton paper and ink deserves special respect, or that the feelings of a bunch of fanatics should be protected from their own stupidity. The stupid thing is that they put together a mock "trial" and condemned the Koran to death by fire for crimes against humanity, violence, rape and so on. If so, they should have burned a bible along with it, same kind of literary crap.

Maybe the pastor was unable to find the words, "Let him without sin light the first match......." in the new testament, so he thought he was good to go. I suppose it puts him in the same game, but perhaps not the same league, as the people chanting "death to america" while holding their Qu'ran high. These people are an embarrassment to their religions.

The reason for burning the book evolved from a political statement to their judgment of the book itself, and theirs being of a similar origin only highlights the flawed similarities of the companion religions as both being works of grandizement rather than of actual religious principles.

Nothing new but for some reason sustained through time.

I wonder if the extremists threatened the life of his child rather than killing some unknown infidels overseas whether he would have done it with the same gusto. Why would he tempt fate like that? F*ckheads, on all sides of this saga. Sad really.

Tempt fate? Like driving down the freeway with your eyes closed? Do you think there should be laws against what he did? After all, his actions were blamed for the deaths of innocents. Do you think he should have the life of his child threatened?

No, totally different scenario unless someone told you first that theyre gonna go kill someone by doing that. The fuckhead preacher had been told that he would cause people to die by doing that. Fuckhead knew but didn't care. He knows he's arguing with fuckhead imbecilles and too stupid to care.

Are you a fuckhead too? No, it shouldn't be against the law, but he's guilty of being a fuckhead, certainly knowing what his 'choice' of action would lead to.

No, nobody should die over burning some paper. I was trying to say I wonder if he would have still gone ahead with it if the threats were affecting people he knew and loved.

Then, as Tim Minchin's song goes, there's the fuckheads in the press who actually report on that shit and have the cheek to call it news!

    Do you support his foolhardiness?.

There. That is the specific quote your previous post implied but didn't say outright.

    "He caused people to die"

Did he really cause anyone to die? Really?

Lets say I support his right to be a fool, just like I support SouthPark's right to "tempt fate" and be a fool, just like I support Molly Norris' right to be a fool and "tempt fate".

I was watching Anderson Cooper the other night with a rep from CAIR on, and he phrased it perfectly. The preacher is a moron. He deserves to be ignored. Nothing more, nothing less. The people calling themselves Muslims in Afghanistan who carried out these attacks, on the other hand, are the lowest form of life on the planet. They are going to hell. The people who are allowing themselves to be whipped into a frenzy over this are likely uneducated and illiterate simpletons. This coming from Sharia supporting Muslim leadership.

Now how come it is that you hold this man accountable for these deaths while a good portion of the Muslim community does not? Why are liberals always looking for someone to surrender to?

    Hello Dears

My religion is being Redneckism. The DP P&R section is our Holy Place. It is Holy and Complete. No one must EVER post in it again. Ever.

Do not tempt fate by doing this unholy thing!!!!!!

If you do it we will smite you most mightily by knocking over a liquor store in Oklahoma. Know now that if you post, the blood of any employees harmed will be upon your head (and all the Jack Daniels in the store will be mine). You have been warned. So it has been written, so let it be done. Amen.

That's just not fair at all, Rob. Why do you get to keep all the Jack Daniels?
