As far as i know it gives a nofollow backlink (if link is mentioned) or just about 0-10 real hits a day.
If you happen to write a relevant post (relevant to Quora's post) and it's a popular Quora post then you may get a lot of traffic. Unless someone reports you.
I use that. That's actually a great traffic source for my project. Even though the links have nofollow/noindex.
I love Quora, but it seems to be a little time consuming, as you want to give the most relevant reply to answer to get the most number of upvotes. As for their advertising platform, haven't tried it yet, but the principles are somewhat similar to Google Search. The CPL is also about the same for companies that use. Google "wordstream quaora ads" they have a pretty decent article on that
I check my Quora links and they are all DoFollow..... I have made 110 posts but I got zero traffic from there. At least I got backlinks that indirectly raised my ranking.
Quora is not meant for advertising and marketing. It's a website where you can gain and share knowledge. It's a platform to ask questions and connect with people who contribute unique insights and quality answers. I hope that makes sense.
I still continue to use Quora. It may only provide less hits and nofollow link but still good source to promote your business.
Maybe I will try posting live links to my affiliate websites on their Answers community and check if some traffic is generated.
You must have noticed that Quora answers rank very well a lot of times. Even for pretty popular searches. So those particular answers obviously get a lot of traffic. If someone was smart or lucky enough to promote a relevant product on that answer, I think it will go very well. But it's not very likely. Because most answers won't get noticeable traffic. It's a case of being at the right place at the right time I guess. To answer your question, you can advertise on quora effectively in some cases. But for most people, it probably won't happen
I have seen advertising on Quora, but I've never investigated what it would take to place an advertisement there. So far as answering questions, yes, I believe that will help as Quora ranks highly with Google, even though I see a lot of shills there.
Quora is a place to gain and share knowledge. It's a platform to ask questions and connect with people who contribute unique insights and quality answers. This empowers people to learn from each other and to better understand the world.
