After years of being a Co-op member, today I finally decided to quit it. When it started it was great, but when after a while, foreign links were no longer an option it stopped being a very good way of using unsold advertising space neither a marketing tool. I already removed the links on many websites in the past. But now I want to really quit the co-op. Is there anything I should be worried about? Websites losing a lot of links all at once or something like that? My current weight was something 10k. I already went down in the past months. The weight is currently spread on about 3 websites, that each live for years and all have tons of natural backlinks on their own. Still, should I worry if I stop 10k in 1 day?
I think the co-op quit us a few months ago. Links are no longer being approved, and I've just popped in to see what's wrong because I've had the "Ads not found on your site" email but they're up and won't validate. I wish Shaun would just hand over the thing to someone who has the time and resources to manage it properly. I agree you should throttle back your links over time.
How many times does it take? It's not finding the ads on several of my homepages, even after trying to validate at least 5 times. I too wish Shaun would hand it over to someone who would actually support the tool.
