quite annoying

    I think the feature that requires a mumber to have 10 posts before a link is allowed is quite annoying. Do you really get rid of spammers this way?

    We all went throught that.
    Yes, it seems to cut down the drive by spammers who do one spam post and never return.

    And it surely, the rules for having time and posts to do so, cuts down on the spam in the bst forums.

    Surely, instead of being annoying, it could be a great source for you to post 10 decent posts?

    Yep, it works very well actually. It also makes users go away who don't want to add any real value to the forum and just use the Buy/Sell/Trade section.

    Yup, it definitely help in cutting down spammers.

    TIP Never quote a spammer with a few post and trying to promote their site, you will make their links live. :)

    And again if you are not a spammer, then you'll sure make 10 posts. no big deal and nothing annoying in that..

    For those who want to spam ... can even even put it in the body...

    i feel the feature of not involving the links in the early stage when you sign up is working better.... as this is not there in some of good forums like seo chat etc.
