I quit smoking but Have been dipping Copenhagen now. I am slowly cutting back on it and can make my can last 7-9 days. I read an article on a recent study that said that smokeless tobbacco is 98% safer than smoking and your odds of dying from smokeless tobacco are about the same as dying in a car wreck.

I still love the smell ofcigarette smoke though :D

Yes it is getting easier - honest! I have astonished myself and him indoors with how well I have done. I guess the time was just right for me,

Bugger-lugs is still smoking like a Grangemouth lum, there´s fag packs all over the house and I am sailing through it all.

It´s not even a week and I feel better already. My daughter who always says I am stinky after I have a cigarrette now says I smell like biscuits and I even have the insane eating under control.

I know it must be tough for you working in a bar and having customers breathe smoke fumes on you all the time. If cold turkey doesn´t work for you, try the Zyban, try the book they were talking about... try again.

Thanks for the pep talk, Jules. I'm deffo contemplating trying the Zyban now seeing as cold turkey doesn't appear to work for me.

Lol @ smelling like biscuits. I take it that's a compliment coming from a kid? :D

Lol Julie are you outside or something? You always say him 'indoors..'

Don´t know where that comes from. Shows how old I am. Some old stand up comedian or other used to refer to his wife as ´er indoors.

That´s it.... 2 weeks smoke free. No patches, pills or puffers either. ST and Mells fell off the wagon but hoping you, Palespyder, are still a smoke-free zone even after you are off the Zyban.

Congratulations e10, I won't say I'm proud due to all the crap and red I got for it last time :D but well done the first 3 days are the hardest and 2 weeks is another major achievment, so slaps on back and big hugs:D I am really pleased for you and will admit out of all the quitters in this thread you were the one I thought had the required will power to succeed and for a change I was right.

I know I have a substance abuse problem, so I can't hold a pack of smokes or I will chain smoke until they are gone, I do get sick when I do this non stop for 2 or three packs.

So when I smoke I will bum them off of the guys around me, many times I will buy them a pack and continue to bum them off of them so I don't chain smoke.

That is why they call it a sickness folks.
