Okay, that´s me about 24 hours. I am the BEST! At this point my husband is saying, please, please just have one cigarrette. He says I am scary as hell, right now. I nearly took his face off and fed it to him earlier about something that happened three years ago. I´d say I am a little bit BLOODY GRUMPY! but I am so proud of myself for seeing through this day.
Well done hun. I havent had a fag since this morning, but I'm getting all grumpy and annoyed at the slightest little thing. Sorry Danielle I reckon i'll be able to do it though. After the first 3 days are over and the nicotein is out of my system it'll be full steam ahead! GO US!
Way to go - the first 24 hours is the hardest, so see if you can managed that milestone. Quite over two years ago - when I get stressed I so miss smoking - but I so don't miss the phelgmy lungs and hacking cough. I can breathe properly now, too, and don't smell like I've eaten an ashtray anymore.
Poor Danielle (who I think might be a Daniel, by the way) picked the wrong day. If I am scary today, you must be living bloody hell, Mell! And what of ST? Is that now Still Tobacco or Stopped Tobacco? And Palespyder, who if he resisted a fag after Mell´s spanking post, truly deserves the title:Ex-Smoker! Wish we could all nip down the pub together and have a pint and a packet of fags to celebrate how well we´re doing.
HEHE! PaleSpyder is cresting day 15 without a smoke and I actually don't even want one anymore Good Job you guys! It may not mean much, but, I am proud of you all. You are going Cold Turkey and thats saying something! You guys should be commended!
Still sticking to it then, Mella. Well done, hon! Me too. I have gone through about 3 packs of chewing gum today and my jaws are numb but that beats yesterday when I pigged out on everything in sight. It´ll be worth it in the end, you know it!
Yeh it definately will be. Lol I have switched from chewing gum - to sucking chupa chup lollies. It helps to have the lolly stick to, as it's like a cigerette and something for my hands to play with. We're doing great...GO US!
For real, when I withdraw I get extremely irritated and driving can be harmful to innocent bystanders.
Hi y'all! I just celebrated 6 months smoke-free. Mella, this website had an impact on me, scroll to the left at the people who died young. I always thought of older people getting lung cancer..... whyquit.com
Thanks Nitty Gritty for sharing that. It´s pretty horrible to see that young guy withered away to nothing. Does anyone remember the old Yul Bryner Don´t Smoke ads?
i remember this brummie guy sitting there saying how he thought he'd never get lung cancer ''coz u never think it will happen to you'' ect. then it said ''2 weeks after this was made he died'' aw i used to cry.
