Quiestions about buying one way links

My status so far in my attempt to improve my link ranking:

    1. I have been submitted ~500 directories via Kashem's service
    2. I have a few reciprocal links however I would like to use this as a last resort.

I am now interested in finding out about purchasing some one way links, I have done some research and would like the opinions of some of the posters who have traveled down the same road.

    1. The cost is about +-$30 / Month for about 300 links (via linkbuildingdirect or onewaytextlinks or linkexchangeexperts), does this cost seem about right?

    2. Do the search engines punish links from these types of sites?

    3. Can you recommend any companies other than the ones listed in 1?

    4. Anything bad about the companies listed in 1. or do you know of any others I should avoid?

    5. Is it worth it @ +-30 / month?

    6. Anyone know how they get one way links?

    7. Is there anything obvious I am not thinking about?

    8. Is this a positive step for my site or should I steer clear ?

    9. Is the cost worth the benefit?

Lots of questions, any advice would be appreciated.

Buy the links individually yourself. Buy them on sites that are related and relevant to your website.

Start in the Link Sales forum here.

AFAIK, according to Matt Cutts, you will not be punished, but if Google finds out you have paid for a link to your site, this link will be devalued. Of course, such a link may still be useful in terms of traffic.

Do not buy 300 one way links for $30 a month. These are going to be on links pages and likely on totally unrelated site, possibly on gambling sites.

Definitely 300 one way link for $30 sounds really bad. Better buy 1-2 really strong and website related links. And check links very carefully before buying (age, backlinks, real PR, etc.)

You get what you pay for $30 seems like rubbish!

Remember that we can control who we link to, not who links to us. Therefore its a sites responsibility to nofollow text links to avoid getting penalized by google for selling :)

If you can get penalized for buying text links, I would link to my competitors.

For you, I think submitting to directories will be enough for now. Try to get your website listed with DMOZ. That should generate quite a lot of traffic for you. Start working on your content from there.
