    Quick Pay Code

    URL: http://quickpaycode.com

    Age of site (months): 9

Description: I started this site back when QuickPayPro was switching their system from PERL to PHP. I got a copy of the PERL source code along with resale rights for $297. I put up the sales letter and a FAQ page.

However, I was later contacted by the QPP legal department saying I should take down the site since it is a trademark violation. So I quit selling the scripts on that site.

That’s why you won’t see anything on this site’s homepage.

Sale includes a .zip folder with the QuickPayPro shopping cart scripts along with the website. You can use or resell these scripts if you want.

See http://quickpaycode.com/index1.htm for the sales letter and http://www.quickpaycode.com/faq.htm.

Although I’m not sure you want to do anything that could infringe on a trademark, you could add some content and link to your other sites to make use of the PR.

Revenue: Made $200-300 during the first few months, from sales of the QuickPayPro source code. (3 sales at $97 each if I remember correctly, minus PayPal fees.)

Once I took the sales page down, the revenue decreased of course :p

Traffic: Not much. Lately, about 50 visits a month.

Google PageRank: Was just 4, now 0 :(

    Indexed pages (Google): 3

    Indexed pages (Yahoo): 2

    Starting Bid: $25

    BIN: $35

    --------------------------------------

    Payments via PayPal please.

Domain registered with GoDaddy. Free push to winning bidder.

Well this site showed PR4 for the past couple months. I guess Google is updating PR right now, some of my other sites are changing as well.

Maybe you'll get lucky and it will fluctuate right back up to 4!

Are you still allowed to sell the QuickPay code? What did their legal department say regarding this? Please provide further information.

That last thing I want to do is purchase this... and find out later that I can't even sell it after all, for legal reasons...

Do you have a copy of the receipt and sales letter allowing you resell rights for this script? Will you provide a copy to the new owner? That may come in handy one day, if their legal department comes in contact again...

The legal issue had nothing to do with reselling the code. The problem was reselling it from quickpaycode.com. Trademark infringement. They didn't want people getting confused since "quickpaycode" is pretty close to "quickpaypro"

Continuing to sell the code is fine. All the scripts are in a .zip file in a folder on the site.

I had also used pretty much the same sales letter they used for the special offer of the source code, which I'm pretty sure they said I could do, but they didn't want me to do that.

I might have a copy of the email receipt but it would be in some email backup folder. Not to be found easily... But it's not something I would worry about, considering there are other people out there selling the scripts.

Just to clear up some stuff...

I had wanted to sell this a while ago when the site had a PR of 4. I was hoping someone would be interested in doing something with it other than selling the scripts. (although you are welcome to buy the scripts from me and sell them at another site)

Now that the PR is apparently gone, I'd be willing to sell real cheap.

For the winner, I'll also throw in the domain pay1plus.com

I got that domain to install the QPP scripts on, and never got around to it.

Auction ends Wednesday at 9 PM EST!

In other words, we get the 2 domains quickpaycode.com + pay1plus.com + the script (with resell rights). Did I understand it correctly?

What are the expiry dates for the domains and where are they registered? ;)

Yes, that's what you get. Along with a couple .htm pages, not that they really matter.

    Both registered with Godaddy.

Quickpaycode.com expires in April and Pay1plus.com is good till November.

I wish you had a demo of your version of the QuickPay script. Just want to compare it to the current version on their site....

I *think* most of the features are the same, just that the new site is PHP and the old scripts are PERL.

Know anyone that used QPP a year ago? :)

Wait... was that the BIN or is it still an auction?

    If so, I'll bid $20
