quickest way to rename images?

    hey I got heaps of pictures and I want to name them from 1 , 2 ,3 , 4 ,5. But I don't want to right click and rename them all..

    anyone know a quicker way.

    (sorry if this is in the wrong section)

    using lurpas rename I opended up the image file , and all my images are there , then I went to Auto Number , clicked on rename and then it said "There are no files to rename with the current options"

    you can do it with excel too, real easy...

    just set up formulas and save it as a .bat file and run the .bat file. Gotta know a little DOS to get it though.
