you could add youtube and ezinearticles to the list... Generally you should be looking for VERY POPULAR authority websites, where you can share something relevant to your website/service/product and stuff your link in. That's how you get relevant traffic.

Quickest traffic is something listed on Digg, StumbleUpon and Facebook.

Some ways to get traffic quickly:
    1. bum marketing - using proper keywords to Ezinearticles. Google will be index an article and shoot up to the top ranking shortly.
    2. Combinate blogging and social bookmarking. You submit each new blogpost to at least 50 popular social bookmarking sites.
    3. Craigslist - using a poster software and remote computer to generate a lot of posts daily. This is black HAT. :D

    - Highly trafficked "general" sites (most mentioned: Digg, etc.)
    - Highly trafficked niche sites: authority blogs that could talk about you, niche news promotion or bookmarking systems, etc. You need to know what sites your niche targets use to visit.

Well, since you didn't mention free or paid then the real answer is Pay-Per-Click advertising.

You will get traffic from social bookmarking sites, but this traffic is like automated traffic.

Why do you need quick traffic? If you want targeted traffic, then try article marketing.
