I spent a whole day posting on a forum linking back to my website in the sig however i then discovered it was a nofollow forum so i just wasted my hole day. im trying to build backlinks to push up my website in an uncompetitive keyword to first on google from tenth. I then joined another one but found it was nofollow also im just right clicking and viewing page source. Is there a list of do follow forums? is there any quicker way of checking before i join one?
Just find a post of some other member and check their signature link. You dont need to sign up first.
Just use NoFollow checker for google chrome or NoDoFollow plug in for firefox. Both of these plugins work the same in that they will mark any nofollow links in red. Now you just visit the forum that you want to post your links in and if everyone's links are in red then it means that they are nofollow. Keep in mind that you want to build both nofollow and dofollow links and you want to build links from other places than just forums. The Search Engines love diversity so it helps to make your link building appear natural and not just have many of the one type of link. Hope this helps
