Is there a plug in or something for other people writing posts and then you can approve/edit/decline them? For writers on your site that you own/run? Thanks.

This is already built into WordPress

If you want someone to just be able to leave a comment, then just leave them as a subscriber (unless you let everyone leave a comment including unregistered visitors)

If you want someone to be able to submit posts but not publish them, upgrade them to contributor status. This means that they can submit posts but they will not go live until you approve them. When doing so you can decide when they go live on your blog.

If someone turns out to be very reliable then you may consider upgrading them to author. Essentially users have the same powers as contributors (well almost) except you do not have to authorise their posts. Users with author status can publish whenever they like, without your approval.

If, down the line, you find yourself swamped with submissions, then you might consider asking a friend to help you out. If you do that, just upgrade them to editor. They will not be able to change any admin settings but they will be able to automatically approve posts and comments.

    Hope this helps :)
