I'm rather new here, so I thought I would share this brilliant SEO TIP with you guys, to build some good karma, heh?..
I also want to basically give back something to the community, as I have browsed a lot of topics recently, and found very good info sometimes.

    So here we go:

    Basics
The total number of indexed pages, that a website/domain has, is one of the main ranking factors in SEs (Search Engines).
It is, unfortunately, also often overlooked by webmasters and SEO people or companies.

    Theory
The easiest way to take already existing content (blog posts, pages, articles, etc...) and increase the number of search engine indexed pages, without having to write anything else or invest any extra effort is to install a translation plugin on your WordPress blog - I'm assuming nowadays most people build their sites using WP as the platform of choice.

    HowTo
The automatic translation may not be the worst option possible - whenever you have a really valuable content, better translate it manually, or even better, allow - and even entice - native speaking users to translate it.
However, the results are often good enough for SEs and even for human visitors, who would change to EN Language if their native version is not that good (people all around the world read in English on the Internet anyway).
These plugins usually translate a page on the spot, when a visitor from said country comes to that page and switches the default (EN usually) display language, by clicking the small flag icon representing their country.
Once that happened, these plugins would usually pull the translation from some free webservice and store it in the database.
What you have to do in such a case, is that as soon as you post a new blog post / page, you need to kindly ask your friends from around the world to visit the page and click on their country's flag button. That is all.

    Practical Advice & Steps
You could easily accomplish that by sending them an email, if they're subscribed to the blog's RSS feed, or send a tweet or a FB update, wherever your audience hangs out online mostly.

Make sure you ask them their feedback about how the page is translated in their language - that is a powerful call-to-action and it will make them click the flag.

    Measure Results
After a while, you will notice the tremendous increase in indexed pages, as well as internal backlinks.

Moreover, once the first few posts/pages have been translated into a new language, SEs will start sending you visitors from those countries, organically, they will follow links on the website from the landing page to related pages and that, in turn, will translate more and more pages, w/o doing anything else.

Wow! I honestly had forgotten about doing this. Now I will blow the dust off of this todo and push it up my "you had better do it soon" list.

    Thanks Steve!

I would just hire an affordable but good translation professional translation company. Anyone with a real business would not trust automated translation. What you say on your website is what creates your reputation.
