Found an issue with the traffic - currently investigating this, will re-open the auction at a later date after finding this out

$20 + sponsored links to the owner's other sites (exact income unknown, he
used links to drive traffic to his other sites)

Revenue details:

Fastclick is the main revenue generator at this point, with around $10-$15
monthly.

On top of Fastclick, some revenue is generated through an affiliate program
offering to SMS each wallpaper to your cell phone - incredibly well done
affiliate program (test it out - it detects your country, lets you pay in your
own currency, and even lets you customize the wallpaper as far as selecting
exactly which part of it you'd like to send, scale the wallpaper, and more).

The former owner used the site mostly to generate traffic to his other sites
(these are the links at the bottom, you are free to replace them with your
own sites).

You may also sell links on the homepage, since it's a a PR4 - should be an
easy $10-$15 extra per link per month. I'll be doing that myself if I can't sell the site.

Traffic details:
Traffic has been very consistant for the past year, with a slight decrease
compared to last year, but nothing major (from around 320-340 to 290 in
September) - so the site is very stable. October stats not complete yet, of
course.

I bought this site just now, and would like a quick sale. If I can't get a fair
price on it, I'll be adding Fastclick popunders (better CPM on fastclick than
the current ads), selling PR4 home page links, and optimizing the site further
and will then offer it for sale again.

SPdude - don't have the exact referring URLs right now as it's still on the former owner's hosting (I bough it today). I did e-mail him asking from that, and will provide it as soon as he shoots me back an answer - hopefully with a screenshot.

How many total wallpapers are there in the database and are there any copyright issues with them?

 

According to the site totall wallpapers are around 14,000. The former owner told me the site is about 1.5 Gigs of space.

Regarding copyright issues - I don't know exactly, although there is a disclaimer regarding that below each wallpaper. If you think you're interested in buying for at least the starting bid, I'll submit that question to the former owner and will have an answer for you probably by tomorrow Let me know.

I'm definately interested in buying the site at the starting bid price, but the copyright issues are a real concern for me. The disclaimer at the bottom of each wallpaper wouldn't protect me if the copyright owner filed a lawsuit. Please ask the original owner if he/she ever recieved any requests to remove wallpapers from the site and where they gathered all the wallpapers. Let me know what the response is and I will get back to you. Thanks!

 

I'll let you guys know, submitted your specific question to the former owner envision, asking if he was ever requested to remove anything (on top of the original copyright question). Legitimate questions indeed, I'll get you the answers by tomorrow hopefully, or after the Yom Kipur fast.

I try to be 100% honest as possible in all business transactions. I expect that from others, but obviously it doesn't always happen:

If you look closely at the traffic screenshot (which I obviously haven't prior to buying the site), you'll notice that the domain is .de, rather than .net... Someone on another forum pointed this out.

If the seller doesn't respond shortly, I'll complain to paypal, followed by a complaint to Ebay. Fortunately I'm covered by both of their seller protection plans, so even if Paypal doesn't work with me, Ebay will compensate me and it'll come down to a loss of around $30 for me, which isn't as bad as the entire sum I spent on it... You live and learn I guess, every day
