    I have a website : freebies4u.co.cc and am gonig to change the template, but most of the content will be the same. My question is will I have to re-submit my site to search engines such as google as the HTML code etc will be different.

    search engines index your content NOT your template and its code

    NO, regardless of how much you update your site, in fact, the more you update, the better. :D

    Exactly. If you update your content you will be able to have better results as teh search engine spiders will see new information and will hopefully visit your site more often.
