    Definitely experiment.

    From my experience the best thing to have up top is a text leaderboard 763x60 or something like that. If you're using your link units and blending the colors in so they look site navigation links, I would cross test with that, because it's supposed to work very well. If you have a static site (not a blog) you should be able to confirm testing results in max 6 business days.

    I would go for a leather board at that place as you dont have a header image and it looks blank.

    Keep the link unit. Image ads suck.

    Even though I am an LSU fan, I must say I like your site. But Geaux Tigers anyways!! lol
