Hey guys, I have a quick question regarding Amazon Associates. What is Amazon's policy regarding using your own store or widgets for ordering stuff for yourself? I think you are not allow using your own store/widget for ordering your own stuff but then again I read here that couple of people are doing it especially to test out the service and commission. So can you or not ordering stuff for yourself?
Amazons policy is to not pay you commissions on items you purchase from your websites. They probably have several ways of determining if you did so. Compare shipping addresses, I/P addresses, etc... I have used my own site to search Amazon when I do want to purchase and they do not pay me commissions for the purchases.
It is sure that you can not purchase from your store/cookies/trackingID. And I never seen that anyone do it.
You are able to purchase through you link to see if it is working but they don't give you commission on those items you buy yourself. It was on the main page when you log in a couple months ago.
if you buy things on your aff id you might get credit at first, but then later the commissions will be deducted from your account.
Yeah, I'd probably not even try it. After all, I would have thought that it just looks as if you're trying to con them out of commissions!
