quick question

hey guys,

just a quick question here regarding the google TOS

btw i have searched for this answer previously and read the TOS but i wasn't quite sure

I know you can't draw attention to ads but can you do either/any of these things?

1) Reccomend firefox or adsense then have the referall ad below
2) Recommend it and then say " click below to download" and have the ad below
3) Say, I reccomend you get a....(product) then put an ad unit below it with that product in it?

I don't know about the referrals, but as far as the adsense ads go you can't "recommend" them.

 

i think referrals are ok to recommend. definitel not ads.

 

I was wondering the same thing. It doesn't seem like referral fraud would really work, since you only get the referral when a new person signs up.

 

yeah, what i wanna know is whether i can say something like

mozilla firefox is way better than internet explorer blah blah blah then say

click below to download then have the referall banner,

i might end up emailing them but they are painfully slow so it might take a while for me to get back with the answer

update: another DP member has pointed out that while it's ok to recommend referral softwares, you cannot encourage visitors to download. i'll try to find that thread that says this.
