quick question

is Northern Irelands STANDARD currency Pounds or Euro's ?

I assume both are used, which is used the most?

 

Pound Sterling I believe. NI £, ROI Euros.

 

Both, yes. But I thought mainly the EURO.

 

Being in the UK (and we have loads of customers over there and they never mention Euro payment) I though N.I.'s official and hence most used currency was pound sterling.

A Google search confirms this. But I've never been there so I don't know for sure...

 

It is like Canada. They use Pound Sterling but some places will take your Euro. Officially they are a different country and a different currency than the Republic. But because their is no physical border (no fence or passport check etc), it depends on the place whether they will accept your Euro or not.

Here in London you can pay with Euro's as well in quite a few places (and especially ticketing machines/vendor machines/telephone boxes).

One world currency/government isn't far off...

 

Most British seem to hate the Euro, trying to hold on to the last bits of their "United Kingdom".
