Quick Question on Blogger and Wordpress

    Hello Guys-

Its been years since I have blogged.

Back in 2006-2007 I remember the free wordpress platform didnt support adsense to be able to monetize from your blogging, only blogger did.

Have things changed? If I decided to get a free wordpress account, will I be able to use adsense or is Blogger still the best option?

    Thanks for your assistance,

    Eddie

A comprehensive answer to this question is given in following: Advertising << Support - WordPress.com. The short answer is: No, they have not changed. If you decide to get an account from WordPress.com, you cannot use adsense (Unless you get accepted to their program for bloggers, which receive high traccic on their blog. Then you have you share the revenue with WordPress.com). However, if you download the WordPress from Wordpress.org and install it to your webhosting, you use AdSense.

No, you can't use affiliate links or banners either.
You can't monetize a wordpress.com blog at all.

Wordpress.com allows to use Google Adsense on two conditions - 1. You have to have 25k+ page impressions every month and You will agree to share 50% revenue with WordPress.

Interesting. Notwithstanding the fact that adsense sucks, and spiting adsense sucks even more...but if you can get 25k page views, why do you need to split anything with anyone?
You would be better off with your own blog.

Adsense is not worth now.. why work for pennies, but if you still want to remain on free platform just stay with blogger, you will get way more options than WP blog.
