Just as the title says... I have a few blogs with unique content on them. Is it good to link to my homepage through some anchor text on my blog posts or could it hurt my SERPs in ANY way? Why do I want to do it? 1) So that when others copy my unique content they might forget to remove my link and 2) I think it might help raise my rankings. True or not? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.
I'm going to say yes. Just make sure the anchor text is really relevant to your index page. Also, you should raise in the SERPs this way. Don't forget to do DoFollow backlinkings
If you're using a one-way link than everything should be fine, but some SEO person believe that two-way link will give a bad result ( I think it's true since two-way link is a way to perform link exchange ). Anyway anchor text will give you best results ( and not to forget giving some special attributes like bold or italic will give a bonus points in google eyes )

I think it's good to put some anchor text from your blog posts linking to your homepage. I just don't now how many anchor text you could use, maybe one or two as long as it's relevant, like bigcat said. Just don't over do it. You might consider to use related article list too at the end of each article page. Related article : - your anchor text - your anchor text - etc. Hope this could give you some idea.
