I am promoting one product where i am not happy with the vendor landing page which you get when you go through the hoplink. (Reason is there is a stupid email popup). So i was checking competitors for the product because i saw one affiliate promoting the product on a different landing page. What he does: He has a simple page with description, keywords like <html> <head> <meta name="Description" content="Some description here," /> <meta name="Keywords" content="keyword1, keyword2..." /> <title>Page Title for product</title> </head> <frameset rows="100%" border="0"> <frame src="/frame.html" frameborder="0" /> </frameset> </html> HTML: frame.html: <META HTTP-EQUIV=REFRESH CONTENT="1; URL=http://www.vendorsite.com/subpage.htl"<html><body><IMG height=1 src="http://AFFID.vendor.hop.clickbank.net" width=1></body></html> HTML: Now i am pretty familiar with this method. My question is whether this WORKS and whether clickbank properly credits sales. Since the competitor uses this i need to assume it works for him otherwise he wouldn't use frames, right?. I did some early testing using this and got some hits, and on clickbank i see hops and all stats. But i didnt get enough traffic yet and didnt make a sale yet for this, i just wanted to know whether other affiliates use the same method via frame and redirecting to another page and whether sales get credited all right. G.
Yes frameing does work and you will get credited as long as you have it set up correctly. if you visit your page and go to the order form check that your details are at the bottom of teh page, if they are you have set it up correctly. personally do not recommend it though, I do belive CB throwns on it although I have never actaully heard of anyone getting into trouble. Can you not try contacting the vendor and see if they can not provide a way for you to link to a second sales page. all the vendor has to do is include a simple script on there sites that can reads a few url parameters. As a vendor I know its important that you are able to do this and I have set up landing pages on resquest from my affilaites in the past. David
yes i know its "basically" not 100% compliable with CB TOS, that's the main reason i asked. You are right, i might simply ask the vendor for an alternate lander.
