Quick question about content

Just a quick question from a noob about content

If I have some content in a div that has a show/hide toggle button, will this still be read ok by google? They don't frown upon this? I want to add text about the page but would prefer it if it could be hidden/shown depending on users preference..

Also does content higher up in a page get more 'respect' from google than text further down (still in main body)

Yea it will read all the content . it wont even know that the content is only appearable if a button is clicked
