Quick PR Question

    I have a website network www.nobutyer.com

I only have the link on one site www.myspace4yourpage.com

    I'm not getting much traffic, but myspace4yourpage has over 500 pages, PR1, 2, 3 and 4...

Nobutyer got PR2, and 3 on it's first update (started it last month)

It was just an experiment to test out my SEO skills.

    How did I get PR3?

Do you think it's because the link was indexed on a Pageranked website with 500+ pages?

    a link from a PR4 site will give your page a PR3!

Just how it works, now build some pr5+ links and you might get a 4 next time.

Just remember that PR is worthless without link stregnth, so keep building relevant links.

Well as I said Nobutyer was a SEO test for me... I wanted to see the results of having no outbound links apart from that one website. Looks like it paid off. I'm thinking of building it up now that I've got a head start. Thanks articleshop!

PR passes form one site to the next but it has no effect on traffic.

Yeah but PR doesn't mean much really does it?

Doesn't gain you traffic... just gets you better link exchanges.

and if 20 links r in a pr4 site then it does not mean that all 20 will become pr3.pr gets distributed among the 20 links

I have quite a few outbound links on myspace4yourpage.com

But a link on that site will be indexed on 500+ PR pages... so there's lots of PR juice in there...

    Happy PageRanking!!

    Hell yeah!

I've spent hours and hours link building via free web directories...

As long as they don't use the "nofollow" attribute you're okay!

    Use them...

They don't give you much traffic but they are still promotion & links!

You'll get PR if you have backlinks from quality sites or you have a backlinks from high PR sites that passes link juice.
