Quick n Dirty Metadata in images

Is there any type of plugin/method of instituting metadata into images? Maybe even anything that does some things automatically? Like, if I place text the font name will be saved to the metadata for future use? Anyone know of anything that might do stuff like that? Or am I just going to have to use the old fashioned method?

I don't really understand your question.

You can set up an action in Photoshop to do this. Then just run a batch (Automate>Batch) on your directory of images.

    thanks for replying

actually, I found shortly after that Photoshop had a log history function (never really noticed it before - Adobe truly does attempt to think of everything!), and I've begun to use it. What I think I'll do is just keep that, then before final archive, I'll just save it in a separate folder of the disc before I delete it.

Do you mean IPTC data? Go to "File > File Info..." in the menu to fill in all the data you need to include.
