    Hey all.

I have a site that gets 5-7000+ uniques per month and want to sell banner space in the header of the site. How much do you think I can charge per YEAR for this? Any ball park figure will help, I might have someone who is interested right now.

Do you have any stats to back up the claim of how many unques you're getting per month. A reputable stats page will go along way in marketing your spaces.

yes. I can back it up and will. But right now I just need a price figure so that I can respond to this person.

Sorry if I sound impatient. I am not, just anxious :p

    It depends on your market.

    Some advertisers pay $15 CPM

In general though, expect about $0.5 - $1 cost per thousand.

7000 uniques a month is not much I'm afraid unless it's super niche or super competitive.

ok. would asking $75 per YEAR for a banner (not a link) in the header be asking too much?

My site is a paintball forum. The advertiser is a paintball store.

No. I can easily see them paying $75 for a Banner for a year.

well, it depends on the position, and how big you are offering. For example a well placed 728x90 would sell for about $10 p/m or a poor position 468x60 banner would get maybe $5 p/m. In all fairness its how well you can pursuade the customer... Stats don't just talk :)

Thanks for your replies guys. The size of the banner does not matter too much. The space can more than occupy a 728x90 banner.

I told the guy $80/year for header or $60/year for footer was what I was thinking but that it is not set in stone and to make me an offer. So I am crossing my fingers and hoping for a positive response.
