Quick House Sale Site dropped 3 pages - why?

    Hi all

I have a fast house sale site that is 11 months old; it rose up through the ranks of page 3 to be at the bottom of page 2 for a few weeks for "quick house sale" until this week when it's now the bottom of page 5 for "quick house sale".

It feels like it's got some sort of -30 places penalty for this term (the home page) but it is still maintaining it's rank for other pages - eg the "rent flats Ipswich" page and the inner quick house sale Suffolk, quick house sale Essex pages.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what could have caused this penalty? I don't buy sell links, don't use black hat, the site is not particularly spammy. There are NO outbound links from the site.

Any ideas would be really appreciated.

If your site got penalized by google then you can not find your listing even on 5th page. Generate more back links with keywords in anchor text.

No - I've read that Google can apple a -30 places penalty which nicely fits witht he site falling from p2 to p5.

I'm obviously aware of backlinks - but that doesn't account for a fall of 3 pages in a week!!
