I need a problem fixed thats really simple and doesnt really require any actual programing done. Without getting into complicated detail on what exactly I need this for (I just need it so I can create an automate6 task correctly), Im just going to outline quickly what I need done. I have AOL 9.1 installed on my computer and it has an AOL icon in the system tray part of windows (lower right hand corner). Now, when I rightclick on the icon, a tab list pops up with actions to choose from like "AOL updates Manager", "Sign on AOL.91" "system informtion" etc. Theres an option where I can click "Start AOL Dialer". When I click this, a window pops up with the name "AOL dialer". All I would need someone do for me is find out how I could run this task, open the "AOL dialer" window, without having to rightclick on the AOL icon in my system tray/then press "start AOL dialer" but open the window by typeing in some file/exe path into Start>Run in windows. Try <install dir>:\<program files dir>\<common files dir>\AOL\ACS\AOLDial.exe Example : C:\Program Files\Common Files\AOL\ACS\AOLDial.exe If it doesn't work, then try to compare which process pops up when you open the dialer. (check via Task manager, or some other advanced process explorer). And then run it explicitly via RUN. If that too fails, then, i can't help more.
