Lets say i have a keyword for table. Its just one keyword in a ad group and i was getting around 100-150 clicks a day on it and it converted pretty well.

Now lets say im trying to scale it up and I got like 2,000 keywords in there related to table. Now im not getting as much clicks and conversions. Its 3pm here and my ads started at 12 pm, usually by now i would have about 70 clicks logged for that adgroup i only got 18. How is it possible that i put in more keywords and now im getting less clicks? Should i put all those keywords in a different ad group?

Answer to your question: Yes, put those keywords in a different ad group

Why? Because those 1,999 other keywords that you're including with that 1 SUPER keyword you have are unproven.

WebGenesis Rule of Success, Tip #13: (Don't ask me what the other 12 are..) NEVER add new keywords in with old keywords that are a proven success.

If you already have a keyword that is converting like a champ... keep it by yourself, because more times than not, you will mess it up by putting new keywords in it.

The more keywords you put into an ad group, the more chance you increase of the other keywords not being relevant to the ad group, bringing down the CTR of the ad group, etc. Especially because of the fact that you have a total of 2,000 keywords.

Realistically, you want to keep your ad groups as small as possible... about 30 keywords max is a good number, up to about 90 keywords if you're doing both broad, phrase, and exact matching.

Definitely try not to have anymore than 200 keywords in your ad group, as I believe the majority of the time, this will have a negative effect on your campaigns.
