Can you guys tell me that can one put link on his/her own other sites? Is it have any bad effect on site? Any other good suggestion you would like to share about link building than you are welcome.
There will be no bad effect if you put links to a few of your other sites on your website. However if you put too many, you may be penalized. Beneficial effects will occur if the sites are related. Like if all the websites are about gardening.
If i have this right you are talking about "Cross Linking" your own sites! Yes? If so, I have seen written in many places that this is regarded as a "Grey Hat" SEO practise. However I think you will find if you do not do it excessively and do it correctly with cross relevance in mind you should not experience any problems, even with sites hosted on the same servers/IP. I am going by my own experience RE this practise, but I have come across and heard about experiences of others that use this practice that they have experienced adverse effects. I would say from my experience there are wrong ways and right ways to go about this and as long as any crosslinking you do adds to the end user experience rather than detracts from it you would be unlikely to experience any adverse effects from such methods. As with many things it is a trial and error thing you will need to test and see what the results are. What works or does not work for one person another may find completely different, there are of course so many factors involved.
You can do interlinking (avoid two way linking but ring linking is ok) ) of your sites but do it primarily to drive traffic from one site to another, if they are related. There is no SEO penalty and no reward also. Ring linking is a very techniques, popularized by porn sites in the dawn of the Web (1995/1996)
